Onneksi vuoto oli alkanut vain v\u00e4h\u00e4n\u00a0ennen ty\u00f6huoneelle saapumistani joten ihan hirve\u00e4n suurta rahallista vahinkoa ei ehtinyt sattua, mutta t\u00f6iden tekemisest\u00e4 ei kyll\u00e4 tullut mit\u00e4\u00e4n. Vuoto on jo\u00a0korjattu, putkimiehet saapuivat kiitett\u00e4v\u00e4n nopsasti paikalle vaikka olikin kiirastorstai. Sen verran kuitenkin pisti ylim\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4inen siivoushomma harmittamaan ett\u00e4 p\u00e4\u00e4tin noudattaa Jenin neuvoa. Tein siis hatun. One of my favourite blogs is Festive Attyre<\/a> by Jen, who makes historical costumes. About a year ago Jen posted with a headline “When life throws you lemons, make a hat”<\/a>. Well, life threw me lemons (and extra excitement)<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0yesterday with the water pipe leakage at my work studio. Thankfully it hadn’t leaked very long time before I arrived to work, so there wasn’t very large damage on materials. But I wasn’t able to do any work. Electric motor on my sewing machine had gone\u00a0a bit damp (straight under the leak)<\/strong><\/span>, so I could not sew at all. Not that I had any time anyways, with all that cleaning, sorting wet stuff and moving dry stuff away from leak.<\/p>\n

Leak is now repaired. Thankfully it was fast job, even though it was Maundy Thursday and Easter season. However the extra bother with the cleaning and damp sewing supplies gave me enough lemons so I decided to take Jen’s advice. So I made a hat. The first public appearance will be on Easter Sunday when Haapam\u00e4ki museum\u00a0locomotive association\u00a0arranges nostalgic steam\u00a0train ride from Tampere to Nokia<\/a> and back. Me and hubby are going to join in with couple friends, wearing appropriate historical attire. I think we need to pack some snacks with us. And a camera.<\/p>\n
