Uusi vuosi on hauska\u00a0aloittaa kertomalla asiasta\u00a0mit\u00e4 en ole tehnyt koskaan ennen, mutta joka toivottavasti tulee olemaan osa viikottaista rutiiniani t\u00e4n\u00e4 vuonna. Siit\u00e4 syyst\u00e4 sp\u00e4mm\u00e4\u00e4n blogia nyt oikein urakalla balettijutuilla, kun se sattuu olemaan mielenp\u00e4\u00e4ll\u00e4. Olimme nimitt\u00e4in Joulupukin kanssa sopineet, ett\u00e4 lahjakortti balettikauppaan olisi hyv\u00e4 lahjaidea.\u00a0Olin k\u00e4ynyt ennen joulua sovittamassa k\u00e4rkitossuja kahdesti. Ekalla kerralla ven\u00e4l\u00e4iset Grishkot tuntuivat sopivimmilta, tosin en tainnut sovittakaan muita kuin Grishkoja eri leveyksill\u00e4. En oikein tied\u00e4, kun myyj\u00e4 ei hirve\u00e4sti selitt\u00e4nyt asioita. Toisella sovituskerralla eri liikkeess\u00e4 eri malleja kokeiltuani olin p\u00e4\u00e4tynyt australialaisen Bloch’in Triomphe-tossuihin.<\/p>\n

Kolmas kerta toden sanoo. Lahjakortin saatuani sovitin viel\u00e4 kerran ja vasta nyt p\u00e4\u00e4sin edes aavistuksenomaiselle\u00a0tuntumalle siit\u00e4, mille tossujen ehk\u00e4<\/strong><\/span> pit\u00e4isi tuntua. Sovitin uudelleen Triompheja ja varmuuden vuoksi viel\u00e4 uudelleen Grishko 2007-mallia jota olin sovittanut toisessa liikkeess\u00e4. Triompheissa on aloittelijalle sopiva, ulkoa leve\u00e4mpi, mokalla p\u00e4\u00e4llystetty k\u00e4rki. Totesin ett\u00e4 vaikka Triomphet tuntuivat paremmalta tasaisella jalalla, niin k\u00e4rjille noustessa koko paino asettui isovarpaalle, jalka p\u00e4\u00e4si siis putoamaan tossussa liian alas. Lis\u00e4ksi Triompheissa n\u00e4ytti j\u00e4\u00e4v\u00e4n v\u00e4h\u00e4n v\u00e4lj\u00e4\u00e4 kotelon yl\u00e4reunaan jonka pit\u00e4isi olla t\u00e4ysin kiinni jalkater\u00e4n p\u00e4\u00e4lliosassa. Jalkani on aika pitk\u00e4lti mallia l\u00e4tt\u00e4, joten my\u00f6s Grishkoissa j\u00e4i v\u00e4h\u00e4n v\u00e4lj\u00e4\u00e4, mutta ei yht\u00e4 paljon koska niiss\u00e4 on v\u00e4h\u00e4n litte\u00e4mpi kotelo. T\u00e4rke\u00e4mp\u00e4\u00e4 kuitenkin oli ett\u00e4 Grishkoissa paino jakautui k\u00e4rjill\u00e4 tasaisemmin koko jalalle, vaikka ne tuntuivat v\u00e4h\u00e4n ep\u00e4mukavammilta tasaisella jalalla seisten, etenkin oikeassa jalassa. Myyj\u00e4n kanssa tulimme\u00a0kuitenkin siihen tulokseen, ett\u00e4 t\u00e4m\u00e4 saattoi johtua siit\u00e4, ett\u00e4 silikonipehmuste ei kunnolla peitt\u00e4nyt oikean jalan niveli\u00e4.\u00a0Asia korjaantuisi pidemmill\u00e4 pehmusteilla ja kun tossut pehmenisiv\u00e4t k\u00e4yt\u00f6ss\u00e4.<\/p>\n

Minua\u00a0ehk\u00e4 hiukan harmitti p\u00e4\u00e4ty\u00e4 Grishkoihin, sill\u00e4 olisin mieluummin ottanut tossut, joissa on valmiina mokkanahkainen k\u00e4rki. Grishkoissa sit\u00e4 ei ole. Mokka on kuulemma pit\u00e4v\u00e4mpi liukkaalla lattialla eik\u00e4 kulu yht\u00e4 nopeasti kuin satiini. Irrallisia mokkapaikkoja kuitenkin saa erikseen mik\u00e4li sellaiset my\u00f6hemmin tunnun tarvitsevan. Eritt\u00e4in avulias myyj\u00e4 kuitenkin lohdutti, ett\u00e4 seuraavien tossujen my\u00f6t\u00e4 osaan jo paremmin sanoa mit\u00e4 oma jalkani tossuilta vaatii. Ostin lis\u00e4ksi Bloch’in Elastorib-nauhat joissa on kuminauha akillesj\u00e4nteen p\u00e4\u00e4ll\u00e4 ja Rumph’in sivuilta pidemm\u00e4t pehmusteet. Seuraavaksi pit\u00e4\u00e4 sitten kiinnitt\u00e4\u00e4 kuminauhat ja satiininauhat ja lyhent\u00e4\u00e4 kiristysnauhat. Ja tammikuun lopussa alkavat treenit. Pit\u00e4k\u00e4\u00e4 peukkuja!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

It’s fun \u00a0to start the New Year with something I’ve never done before, but which hopefully will be part of my weekly routine this year. That being said, I’m going to spam the blog with more ballet stuff, sorry, it’s just top thing right now on my mind. Me and Santa came to agreement that gift voucher for ballet shop might be a good idea. I went to try pointe shoes twice before Christmas. First time I opted for Russian Grishko’s. Allthough I’m not even sure if I tried anything else than them in different widths. Sales staff on that shop wasn’t really explaining much of anything. On second fitting\u00a0in a different shop, after trying on several models,\u00a0I decided on Australian Bloch Triomphe.<\/p>\n

Third time is the charm, they say. After getting my voucher from Santa, I did the third fitting. And this time was the first time I even got slight idea what the pointe shoes should actually feel like, maybe<\/strong><\/span>. I tried Triomphe-model again and just to make it sure once more Grishko 2007, which I tried in another shop. Triomphe has wider platform, suitable for beginners, which is covered with suede. I found out now that even if they felt better when standing flat, they were not very good when going en pointe. The whole weight was distributed to big toe, so it meant that foot was sliding way too down towards the platform. Triomphe was also little bit loose on the vamp around the metatarsals, where it should be snugly against the skin. My feet are somewhat flat, so Grishko’s were also little bit loose on the vamp, but not as much as Triomphe, as the box is flatter in Grishko. More important however was that with Grishko the weight was more evenly distributed to the whole foot when en pointe, even though they seemed to a bit more uncomfortable while standing flat. But after talking with the staff member who was doing the fitting, we came to agreement that it might have just been due to too short silicone padding, which didn’t cover the joints properly, especially on the right foot. She was pretty convinced that it would correct in time when I would break the shoes in, and with longer padding.<\/p>\n

I might have been slightly annoyed by the fact that I could not get the shoes with suede platform. Grishko shoes don’t have them. Apparently suede has more grip on slippery floor and doesn’t wear out as fast as satin does. However I can get them later separately if I seem to need them. Woman doing the fitting however was very professional and assured that next pointe shoes will be much easier to choose, when I already know better what kind of shoes my feet will require after doing some pointe exercises. I also bought Bloch Elastorib ribbons which have elastic around Achilles tendon\u00a0and Rumph gel pads which are longer on the sides. Next thing to do is to sew on ribbons, elastics and shorten the drawstring. And at the end of January the lessons will start. Keep fingers crossed for me!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
