Halusin kuitenkin v\u00e4h\u00e4n vaaleampaa s\u00e4vymaailmaa, joten t\u00e4m\u00e4 valkopohjainen osui kohdalle juuri sopivalla hetkell\u00e4. T\u00f6rm\u00e4sin parisen vuotta\u00a0sitten kirppisell\u00e4 upean v\u00e4riseen vihre\u00e4\u00e4n, mutta se oli hintaansa n\u00e4hden niin t\u00e4ynn\u00e4 koinsy\u00f6mi\u00e4 reiki\u00e4, ett\u00e4 j\u00e4tin ostamatta. Aito platok on aina valmistettu villasta, hienoimmat pehme\u00e4st\u00e4 merinovillasta. Jos kaapistasi l\u00f6ytyy tekokuituinen versio, se on ik\u00e4v\u00e4 kyll\u00e4 halpakopio. Tunnetuin ven\u00e4l\u00e4inen platok-tehdas Pavlovo Posad<\/a>\u00a0on valmistanut huiveja jo 1790-luvulta l\u00e4htien. Alunperin ne valmistettiin t\u00e4ysin k\u00e4sity\u00f6n\u00e4 jolloin yhden huivin tekemiseen saattoi kulua aikaa jopa 18 kuukautta.<\/p>\n PS. T\u00e4n\u00e4\u00e4n alkaa balettikausi ja keskiviikkona ensimm\u00e4iset k\u00e4rkitossutreenit. J\u00e4nnitt\u00e4\u00e4 ja pelottaa.<\/p>\n Beginning of\u00a0the Winter has been unusually mild. Even so mild, I haven’t even got my winter coat out yet. That’s confusing. I have managed till Christmas\u00a0with my midseason coat, lighter scarf and leather gloves. Usually those have been moved to storage to wait for the Spring long before that. I didn’t even get my winter dresses out of\u00a0the storage untill after Christmas. Winter shoes however have been in use atleast couple months. My winter boots are couple years old and the faux fur lining has gone pretty flat by now. They don’t really warm much in freezing weather, not even with wool socks, but they are just right for semi-winter weather. So buying new winter shoes is soon ahead. That will be difficult since I’m really picky. Atleast the weather got cold enough before Christmas, I had to start using my new wool undies. I bought wool pants from recycling center during the heatwave last summer. Best stuff in freezing weather!<\/p>\n Thankfully we got to the proper winter weather now. Nothing is prettier than frosty windows and snowy trees. I could finally start using my winter dresses and wool scarfs. Soon I have to go and get my winter coat from the storage. I have been wearing over a week this 30’s wool dress I bought from Elina<\/a>. It is way to warm and thick to be worn in Summer, so I only use it in Winter. I love the decorative details: lace bodice, fabric covered buttons and light pink silk crepe under the lace.<\/p>\n After the freezing weather arrived, I have been using this Russian platok scarf, which I bought from a friend. I remember having similar black scarf when I was a kid. Most often you can find black ones from flea markets. I, however, wanted now something a bit lighter in colour, so this white scarf was just perfect find from friends stash. Couple years ago I saw beautiful green platok at flea market, but it was so full of moth holes, it just wasn’t worth it. In Finland we call these scarfs matryoshka scarfs or nesting doll scarfs for obvious reasons, but platok is the actual name for them. (I learned this via the blogosphere, from Natalia’s lovely blog<\/a>, go and check that out!)<\/strong><\/span> Authentic platok is always made of wool, finest of them are merino wool. If \u00a0you have one made of artificial materials, unfortunately it is a cheap knockoff. Most famous Russian factory\u00a0Pavlovo Posad<\/a>, has been making platoks since 1790’s. Originally they were made completely by hand and to make one scarf could take up to 18 months.<\/p>\n PS. The ballet season starts today and Wednesday is the first pointe class.
