<\/a><\/p>\nAs a seamstress, handcraft hobbyist and vintage lover, and of course fan of non-fiction\u00a0books, I have all sorts of books about clothes and clothing history. As a seamstress (<\/strong>yes I actually prefer that word over sewist or sewer)<\/strong><\/span> I’m interested in techniques and methods and pattern drafting. As a vintage and history lover I’m mostly interested right now anything from early 1800’s to 1940’s. Allthough I have to admit that now I’m also interested in expanding my library towards 1700’s.<\/p>\n When I started my vintage hobby, I bought mainly books that had information about all 1900’s decades. Later when I have gathered more knowledge myself, I have started to buy books which are more concentrating on certain shorter periods of time. Books are not just decorating my bookshelves. I also read them when ever I need to refresh my memory about something.
